Storyboard Thatis a web-based program that lets students create storyboards and graphic organizers. It has tons of resources for students and teachers. They can make their own storyboards and graphic organizers using thousands of characters, word bubbles, icons and symbols. There are six types of graphic organizers: Traditional, T-Chart, Spider Map, Timeline, Grid, Frayer Model allowing for use in any subject. It's a great tool for digital storytelling and there are lesson plans to spark ideas in using the program in English Language Arts, History, Foreign Languages, STEM and Special Education.

Finding royalty free media can be difficult at times but the following websites are good resources. Check each site you get media from to determine the restrictions.
Still Images:Picsearch.com searches the web for images and contains more than 2,000,000,000 pictures. Be sure to check the Terms of Use. Pics4learning.com contains copywrite friendly images for education. This site contains lesson plans and a way for you to share your images for educational use. Animationfactory.com although this is a paid subscription, it is a great resource for projects and has both still and animated pictures, video and background.
**Free Foto** – Professional photographers sell their photos here. However, the usage agreement on the front page states: “Also non-commercial users may download our web site images to use off-line in school projects” LOTS OF ADS on this one – but really good photos.
**Flickr** (Creative Commons) – This is not necessarily a site you’d want students to use – but it’s a great resource for you to gather images needed for project. There is sometimes inappropriate material found here.
PDphoto.org(public domain) – Repository for free public domain photos. Check on individual photos to make sure they are not copyrighted. The photos are concentrated in landscapes & scenery.
PhotoHome– This is a Texas photographer’s website – his name is Allen Matheson. He has made his photographs free for educators and students.
Gif.com– Free offering from the parent company, ClipArt.com. No login is required.
Photos8.com– Free public domain high-resolution pictures that are easy to search
FreePixels.com – Around 3,500 photos that can be used in your projects
WP ClipArt – fast, clean and safe site to find good-quality, printable images that have no copyright restrictions. http://www.wpclipart.com/browse.html
Karen’s Whimsy – Images gleaned from a collection of old books, magazines, and postcards. They are all from publications printed prior to 1923 and in the public domain. http://karenswhimsy.com/public-domain-images
PublicDomainPictures.net – Repository for free public domain photos. You can upload your own pictures. No login required and you can browse by categories or use search http://www.publicdomainpictures.net
Free Digital Photos – All photos are free – but high resolution photos charge a fee, be careful – may be some slightly inappropriate photos here http://www.freedigitalphotos.net
Music:freeplaymusic.com has royalty free music sorted so that you can search by various genres and tempos of music to find what you want. All SmartSound music is royalty-free for educational purposes, meaning that you never have to worry about copyright infringement. CCMixer is a creative commons site which has music created by independent artists, etc and is a good resource to model use of music appropriate use of copyrighted. OneTrueMedia - site where you can edit videos online for free...no need for a download or for additional software.
KICK You Tube - If you find a video you like on youtube and start playing it you can go up to the url and type the words kick into the url right before the word youtube. This will take you to another site that will give you different way to convert the file and download it to your desktop.
Screenr: free screencasting tool; great for tutorials and simple software demos.
View Pure Remove distracting and offensive elements around YouTube video, and crop the video before sharing it with others
Oxelon Media Converter - Free - Free video converter and audio converter. Supports many formats and codecs. Context menu allows to convert files right from Windows Explorer.
Free Teleprompter application - Simple is the key to Prompt! as it scrolls text, either mirrored or not and has simple word processing functions (like cut, copy, paste and whatever you decide to type from within the program).
